Energy Balls

A natural energy boost packed with fibre and healthy fats — perfect for sustained stamina and quick recovery between rehearsals.

Makes 10 balls

Ingredients

1 cup pitted Medjool dates (about 10–12)

½ cup rolled oats

2 tbsp nut butter (almond, peanut, or cashew)

1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds

1 tbsp cocoa or cacao powder (optional, for a chocolate version)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of sea salt

1–2 tbsp water (if needed for texture)

Optional coatings: desiccated coconut, crushed nuts, or sesame seeds

Method

1. Add all ingredients (except water) to a food processor.

2. Blend until the mixture starts to stick together.

If it’s too dry, add water one tablespoon at a time until it forms a soft dough.

3. Roll into small balls using your hands.

4. (Optional) Roll each ball in coconut, nuts, or seeds for coating.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week — or freeze for up to 3 months.
